A Successful Overture to the 2012 Season

Thank you to all those who contributed to the 2012 Crane River Theater Overture Dinner.  It was a wonderful evening at the Museum of Nebraska Art with over a hundred people in attendance. Dining, entertainment and laughter were all on the agenda.

No one present will forget Steve and Brian’s hilarious mouth stuffed full of cookies rendition of “Cookies” from this upcoming season’s production of “Frog and Toad.”

A special thanks to MONA for hosting the event, Country Catering for providing a delicious four course meal, and Kearney Floral for donating the beautiful flowers.

Leading us into the upcoming season, Julie Anderson, Joe Knispel and Brian Botsford provided a few outstanding selections from the upcoming productions of Snoopy and Little Shop of Horrors.  Steve and Brooke Bradford provided a personalized touch to the whole night with an excellent video featuring local artists and children that took part in our shows and programs last summer.  If you missed it, it is available to view on our Home Page.

While many funds were raised, there is still a need for support.  As we continue to grow in our outreach to the community and build on our educational programs for the arts, support is crucial.  If you would like information on sponsorship or donation opportunities, please call Steve Barth at 308.627.5796.  We hope that you will join us next year for this annual event.

Appetizer

Mixed greens garnished with fresh pear slices, feta cheese, and
caramelized walnuts and dressed with a raspberry vinaigrette

Middle Course

Roasted red pepper and tomato bisque

Entree

Smoked Prime Rib or Bacon wrapped Pork Loin with a raspberry
chipotle sauce served with green bean bundles and a twice baked potato

Dessert

Chocolate layered cake drizzled with a raspberry sauce
